Here are some fun trivias about the famous four notes:
• The remarks "Fate knocking at the door" never came from Beethoven but from Anton Schindler himself (Beethoven's secretary).
• Coincidentally, the letter "V" (also signifies "5") is dot-dot-dot dash or 3 short clicks and one long in Morse Code, resembles the famous 4 notes.
• During the WWII, the Allies of WWII (represented by the countries above) initiated the "V for Victory" campaign, referring Symphony no. 5 as the victory symphony.
⚡️ That four-note motif was played on the timpani before every BBC wartime broadcast to Europe.
The image above was the inspiration behind op.5. Four notes that need no clef, time signature, dynamics, perhaps if we taken out the ledger lines, the four notes are still easily recognized. Four notes loud enough to speak Beethoven's genius!
